Complete the application form and return to the CSAA along with the application fee of $200. CSAA will review your application, and if your experience and background meets CSAA requirements for Candidiate for membership, your application will be approved. If your application is not approved, 100% of your application fee will be refunded immediately.

Once your CSAA Candidate application has been approved, you will be required to sign a CSAA Code of Conduct and submit payment of $350 for your Candidiate for membership fee (discounts available for multiple Candidiate for membership - Equine, Livestock and Farm Equipment).

All new Candidates for membership must complete a CSAA approved 15-hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course and CSAA Introductory Course in Agricultural Appraisals within three months of Candidate for membership approval or risk having their Candidate for membership revoked.

Before completing the application, make sure the following requirements have been met:
21 years of age or older
Extensive background in the livestock and/or farm equipment industry
Bachelor's Degree or higher OR 30 semester credit hours from an accredited college or university (minimum of 10 courses or two full semesters)
Valid driver's licence
No criminal history
Candidate must submit a current Certified Criminal Record Check with their application which can be obtained from their local police or RCMP detachment
All candidate and appraisal members are required to obtain Errors & Omission insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage and provide proof of insurance to CSAA annually
